Carbon Farming Academy is an educational platform developed and managed by FUNDACIÓN SOLIDARIDAD NETWORK COLOMBIA, with the support of its technical and strategic allies. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) regulate the access and use of our website, virtual classrooms, Applications, and other offered services (hereinafter, the “Services”). Some of our Services may include downloadable software on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. You agree that such software may update automatically and that these Terms also apply to such updates.
Please read these terms carefully before using the platform. By clicking “I Accept,” or by accessing and using our Services, you express your agreement with these Terms and with the complementary policies referenced in this document. Terms and Conditions of Carbon Farming Academy
1. Registration and Account Access
To access the contents and courses of the Carbon Farming Academy platform, the user must create a personal account with true and updated information. The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and for the activities carried out from their account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Any improper use may result in the suspension or cancellation of access.
Carbon Farming Academy may request identity verification or additional information when necessary to ensure the security of the platform.
2. Intellectual Property
All contents of the platform, including texts, images, videos, educational materials, and software, are the property of FUNDACIÓN SOLIDARIDAD NETWORK COLOMBIA or its allies, protected by national and international copyright laws.
The total reproduction of texts, images, documents, and multimedia contents is authorized provided their integrity is maintained and cited in accordance with the Creative Commons 4.0 License. Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International. Unauthorized commercial use, modification, or distribution is prohibited.
The trademarks and logos of Carbon Farming Academy and Solidaridad Network are the exclusive property of the Foundation and may not be used without prior written authorization.
3. User Responsibilities
The user agrees to use the platform responsibly and exclusively for educational purposes. It is prohibited to:
Impersonate other users or entities.
Disseminate, copy, or modify content without authorization.
Introduce viruses or perform actions that affect the operation of the system.
Use the platform for commercial or fraudulent purposes.
Publish offensive content or content contrary to morals and public order.
The user will be responsible for the contents they publish or share. Carbon Farming Academy may remove any content that infringes on rights or rules.
4. Provider Responsibilities
Carbon Farming Academy is committed to providing access to its courses and educational materials, guaranteeing the protection of personal data in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012 and regulatory decree 1377 of 2013.
The platform may be interrupted by maintenance, improvements, or causes of force majeure. In such cases, efforts will be made to restore the service as soon as possible. For inquiries regarding the platform, to notify about broken links, improvement suggestions, or technical support, users can communicate at ayuda@carbonfarmingacademy.org.
5. Limitations of Liability and Conflict Resolution
Carbon Farming Academy is not responsible for:
Interruptions or failures beyond its control.
Loss of information due to misuse of the platform.
Third-party content or external links.
The use of the platform is the sole responsibility of the user. Carbon Farming Academy does not guarantee that the courses or materials will meet specific expectations.
Any conflict arising from the use of the platform shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Colombia, and any doubts or disputes arising therefrom must be resolved by the courts of Colombia, Department of Cundinamarca, city of Bogotá.
6. Academic Recognition
No official academic recognition.
Carbon Farming Academy does not grant academic credits for the completion of courses or training contents, unless explicitly established by an allied educational institution. Participation in or completion of the courses does not imply obtaining officially recognized academic credits.
Even if an institution grants credit for a specific course, there is no guarantee that other institutions will accept such credit. The user agrees not to claim academic credits unless they have obtained a certificate or equivalent document issued by Carbon Farming Academy or an endorsed institution.
Carbon Farming Academy, its instructors, and allies have no obligation to ensure that the courses are recognized by educational institutions or accrediting entities.
7. Exemption of Relationship between User and Content Provider
Except in programs or collaborations that expressly indicate otherwise, no provision in these Terms nor the user’s participation in courses or contents offered by third parties (content providers) establishes:
a) Any formal relationship between the user and the content provider.
b) Any enrollment or registration of the user in the content provider’s institution or in the programs offered by said institution.
c) Any right to use the institutional resources of a content provider beyond the specific participation in the provided course or content.
Carbon Farming Academy and the associated content providers are not obliged to recognize any type of academic or institutional link derived from the user’s participation in the courses.
8. User Content
The user may upload, share, or publish materials in the enabled spaces of the platform. By doing so, they declare that they possess the necessary rights over said content and grant Carbon Farming Academy a non-exclusive, free, and worldwide license to host, reproduce, and display that content solely for educational or promotional purposes of the platform.
Carbon Farming Academy reserves the right to remove or moderate any content that infringes the law, third-party rights, or the rules of coexistence established in these Terms.
